Penguin bars, a staple in many lunchboxes, are no longer classified as chocolate bars.

Produced by Pladis' manufacturing division of McVitie's, Penguin bars were originally invented by William McDonald in 1932 and come in a variety of flavours including orange, mint and even a cake bar.

However, they have recently been reclassified as "chocolate flavoured" because they do not contain enough cocoa to be considered a chocolate bar.

A Reddit user expressed their shock, stating: "Greedflation has come for Penguins - now not enough cocoa to be classified as chocolate.
