Hundreds of children were left in tears after a Glasgow flight to visit Santa in Lapland was cancelled on the runway. Families had spent thousands for a festive day-trip experience to Finland on Thursday, December 11.
Excited families boarded the 7am, flight at Glasgow Airport wearing Christmas jumpers and red hats, ready for a magical day of husky rides, snowmobiles, and a sleigh ride with Santa through a snow-covered Lapland forest.
However, their festive dreams were shattered after passengers were told something had struck the aeroplane's windscreen moments before take off. Parents had to comfort their crying children as they were escorted off the flight, which was operated by Enter Air on behalf of Transun, reports the Daily Record .
