LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A strong cold front pushed through Arkansas on Saturday, with the coldest temperatures arriving behind it and becoming most noticeable early Sunday.
To give people a warm place to stay during cold weather, locations across central Arkansas have announced they are opening warming shelters.
Here's where you can find them:
Little Rock
Dunbar Community Center, 1001 W. 16th St, open from 6 p.m. Sunday to 9 a.m. Monday
available to anyone in need of a safe, warm and dry place to stay overnight.
No identification is required at the shelter, and pets are allowed in kennels provided by Little Rock Animal Village.
North Little Rock
North Little Rock Community Center, 2700 Willow Street, Sunday, December 14, 2025, beginning at 6 pm.
No ID required. Pets are allowed.
