RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) -- A Raleigh two-car crash on Monday evening has closed southbound Falls of Neuse Road near Millbrook Road, according to officials.

The wreck was reported just after 8:25 p.m. along Falls of Neuse Road near Cedarhurst Drive, the NCDOT said in an alert.

Southbound Falls of Neuse Road is closed south of Millbrook Road just before Cedarhurst Drive, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

An image from the scene showed a Honda sedan that had collided with another vehicle. Police confirmed the crash was a head-on wreck involving two cars.

One person from each car was taken to a nearby hospital for "emergency medical treatment," police said. No other information was available about the injured people.

The NCDOT said the road should be clear by 11:30 p.m.
