U.S. Rep. Barry Moore faced a hostile crowd Wednesday night at Daphne City Hall, drawing boos and cries of “shame!” as he defended President Donald Trump’s agenda and his own record.

Moore, of Enterprise and a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus , was shouted down throughout a 45-minute raucous town hall meeting that was neither advertised to the public nor to the media.

“The word got out,” said Johnston Tisdale, a Robertsdale resident and member of the progressive Indivisible Baldwin County.

“I’m proud of everyone tonight. I’m not proud of him.”

Moore, who announced earlier this month he is running for the U.S. Senate next year , attempted to answer questions on a host of issues.
