DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) -- Local colleges are doing their part to ensure the community is aware of the importance and struggles of drug recovery.

Enterprise State Community College will host a series of events designed to teach you how to combat addiction and how to support yourself or someone else on the road to recovery.

These events will include a resource fair, in-depth presentations, and even real-life stories from recovering addicts.

"Recovery is something an individual can obtain, and there are lots of resources, there are lots of examples of people who have been willing to change their lives," said Curt Lindsley, the Executive Director of the Alabama Alliance for Recovery Residences.

These events will be held on the Ozark and Enterprise ESCC campuses.
