Highfield Hall & Gardens will host a workshop with Carol Pelletier Radford titled “Forest Bathing with a Walk in the Beebe Woods” on Tuesday, September 9, at 10 AM at Highfield.

Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a Japanese practice of spending time in a forest to promote relaxation and wellbeing. The practice involves immersing oneself in nature, engaging the senses and being calm and quiet among the trees.

This two-hour experience will include an introduction to forest bathing and its health benefits, mindful living reflections, practice listening to trees, a 30– to 45-minute intentional walk into Beebe Woods and a closing meditation. Each participant will receive a copy of Radford’s book, “A Mindful Living Journal: Art and Affirmations to Nourish Your Soul.”
