AUBURN, Ala. ( WSFA ) - Auburn University officials have issued a campus safety and security alert after receiving reports from students believing to have been involuntarily drugged at various on-and-off-campus events.

According to school officials, victims reported various symptoms including loss of feeling in limbs, vomiting, dizziness, and loss of memory after drinking alcoholic beverages at these events.

The school shared a statement on Facebook providing steps for students to take if they believe they have been drugged.

Seek medical attention immediately. Some date rape drugs can only be detected in urine from 3-12 hours after they are consumed.
