LINCOLN SQUARE — The owners of a longtime karaoke bar in Lincoln Square are calling it quits later this month.
The Hidden Cove, 5338 N. Lincoln Ave., has been around at least since the ’90s as a late-night option for songbirds who want to continue the party until the 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. last call. The extensive playlist and minimal stage drew karaoke enthusiasts eager to belt out staples like Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” or David Allan Coe’s “You Never Even Called Me By My Name.”
But over the Labor Day weekend, the bar’s sign announced The Hidden Cove’s last day of service will be Sept. 15.
The Hidden Cove’s food, liquor and late night business licenses that were renewed in 2023 are also set to expire Sept. 15.
Flavius Ardelean acquired the property housing the Hidden Cove in 2023. At
