EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - We’re just a few weeks away from a night of charity baseball under the stars in Evansville.

On Saturday, September 13, local first responders will face off at historic Bosse Field for Public Safety Slugfest 2025, also known as “Cuffs vs. Ladders”.

Members of the Evansville FOP Lodge will go head-to-head against the Evansville Professional Fire Fighters Local 357.

Organizers of the event say it will be fun for the whole family.

“The least expensive night out and full pack of entertainment, we’ve got a lot of cool things set up,” says organizer Aaron McCormick. “It’s not going to be a softball game. We’re having some entertainment in between.”

Kids will also get to enjoy pitch and catch with first responders, base run, and autographs after the game.
