A man has been arrested after reportedly being spotted with a knife near Cambridge Regional College. The police were called to the area at 10:36am on Wednesday (September 3) with reports of a man outside the college ground carrying a knife.

Cambridge Regional College was closed as a precaution and officers searched the area. One man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place and taken into custody.

The police have reported that no one was injured. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and the college has reopened.
