The Fort Worth Fire Department was called to a house fire in the Historic Southside neighborhood that injured two firefighters on Wednesday morning.
The 2-alarm fire was reported inside a home on the 200 block of South Williams Street, not far from the intersection of Vickery Boulevard and South Freeway southeast of downtown.
According to fire officials, a firefighter became trapped in the garage after the structure collapsed.
The firefighter was rescued from the garage and was taken by air ambulance to Parkland Health in Dallas, according to Fort Worth Fire.
Another firefighter was transported to a hospital by ground, according to fire officials. The conditions of the firefighters are not known.
