WACO, Texas (KWTX) - An “aspiring rapper” from Waco, who according to court documents is a convicted felon found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, is charged in the sexual assault of a woman who called 911 for help during a domestic disturbance, affidavits state.

Delanta Dukes, 24, is charged with continuous violence against the family, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, parole violation, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and sexual assault, according to court records.

On July 25, Waco Police Department officers responded to an apartment unit in the 7300 block of Lakeshore Drive to investigate a domestic disturbance. A woman reportedly called 911 to report she had been punched in the eye, but the phone call “went silent,” police said.
