LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The year 1975 was particularly turbulent for Louisville as the school systems were merged and forced to desegregate by way of busing.
From the very start of school, Sept. 4, the city was unsettled. But the particularly violent response came in the several days after.
Video WLKY shot back then shows how people took the streets, setting businesses ablaze, assaulting officers and more in opposition to the mandate.
