OAK HILL, WV (WVNS) -- The Fayette County Health Department has partnered with the Fayette Prevention Coalition in order to bring Healing Our Plateau to the community for the second year in a row.
The event focuses on emphasizing health, healing, and connection.
Paula McCutcheon, Peer Recovery Specialist for the Fayette County Health Department, said the event is crucial for the community.
"Our community was hit with a lot of hardships, and a lot of people are affected in some way with substance use disorder. September is Recovery Month. We thought that it would be nice to have an event where people could have sober fun and families could come out, and we could also remember those that we've lost," said McCutcheon.
