LANSING, WV (WVNS) -- The West Virginia Herpetological Society will be holding their annual Fall Symposium September 5th through the 7th at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
The Society will be hiking, camping, and hosting lectures on all manner of cool animals, from snakes to salamanders, lizards, turtles and more.
Adam Weaver, Communications Director for the Society, said the Society holds these symposiums with one goal in mind.
"One thing we really love to do is interact with the public and show people that these are animals like anything else. They have benefits both to humanity and to the environments around them. Hopefully if people come to the symposiums. They can learn a little bit and they can actually meet and have some hands-on time with these animals and hopefully
