INDIANAPOLIS — As the second half of the season dragged on, Caitlin Clark continued to have the same status: out. And late Thursday night, she told her fans via social media that was her designation for the rest of the season with her right groin injury.

Clark suffered a right groin injury July 15 and, initially, she and the Indiana Fever were hopeful that she could make a return sometime later in the 2025 season. She got an MRI July 16 which diagnosed the injury, then got additional imaging a week later that showed there wasn't additional damage besides what was on the original MRI.
