CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts experienced some much-needed rainfall Thursday night, but drought conditions continue to worsen across the region.
A line of showers moved through western Massachusetts, bringing around half an inch of rain to many areas, including .44 inches at Westover Air Reserve Base.
"We finally saw a little rain last night, many spots picking up around a half inch or a little less," said 22News Storm Team Meteorologist Chris Bouzakis.
Despite the recent rainfall, drought conditions are expanding, particularly in Franklin County and northern Berkshire County, where moderate drought conditions have been reported.
