LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - A man was injured after being rolled over by his own vehicle Saturday, September 6, according to Lynchburg Police.

Lynchburg Police and Lynchburg Fire responded at 11:57 a.m. to a report of a man possibly injured by his own vehicle on private property. Police say the man attempted to free his vehicle after it became stuck. During the attempt, the vehicle rolled and ran over him, according to police.

His three children were inside the vehicle during the incident, but none of them sustained injuries, according to police.

Police say the man was transported to Carilion Roanoke Hospital in critical condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
