MIDDLETOWN – A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a barber shop in downtown Middletown earlier this week that left a 17-year-old injured, sources have confirmed to Mid-Hudson News.

The suspect, a Middletown resident, has been charged with attempted murder, sources said. He was arraigned by a judge after last night’s arrest, and bail was set for him.

The victim was shot while working a shift at the 6 West Barbershop on West Main Street on Wednesday. The alleged suspect walked into the shop wearing a camouflage baclava-style mask. He fired several rounds at the teen from a black handgun, striking him in the back three times.
