Owasso Public Schools is asking voters to consider a revised multimillion-dollar school bond proposal Tuesday.
On the ballot is a 10-year, $169 million bond proposition that includes multiple construction projects that were part of a previous proposition that failed in February by fewer than 60 votes.
After that February election, Superintendent Margaret Coates and other school leaders solicited feedback on why that bond proposal did not pass and what a subsequent bond proposal should include.
Almost 2,400 community members participated in a survey about the failed proposition, and more than half of the respondents who voted against the proposal in February said they did so because it would have increased property taxes.
