It's a bird! It's a plane! It's an... anthropomorphic bag of popcorn?
Well, why not? "Pop" is a caped puff of popcorn who has returned to Valparaiso in their time of need: the annual Popcorn Festival.
This year's event was themed around "Popcorn Power" and old-time superhero comics, the cinematic viewing of which often served as an excuse to consume large bags of popcorn.
Among Pop the Popcorn's superhero powers include longevity and possibly even resurrection. Pop, the popcorn caricature, is a relic of Popcorn Fest, going back to the '80s, said Jessica Fox, event and marketing manager for Valparaiso Events.
