BATAVIA - Plenty of butterflies were seen flying around the memorial garden at Crossroads House today, landing on plants in the Memorial Garden or on people's hands or clothing.

The people who bought the butterflies were at Crossroads to release them in memory of a relative or friend who passed away, whether that person spent his or her last weeks or months at Crossroads. It was the first time the comfort care home on Liberty Street hosted a butterfly release.
