Former Michigan cornerback DJ Turner II helped close out the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in the Cincinnati Bengals’ season opener.
The 2023 second-round pick intercepted a Joe Flacco pass that deflected off receiver Cedric Tillman’s hands late in the fourth quarter with the Bengals leading 17-16. The team took over at the Cleveland 40-yard line with 1:24 remaining and drained the clock down to 19 seconds before punting and pinning the Browns on their own 1.
Cleveland only had an opportunity to run two plays before time ran out and didn’t come close to reaching field-goal range. Turner’s interception was the first of his career.
The two-time all-Big Ten selection missed the last six games of the 2024 season because of a shoulder injury but had a standout performance in the 2025 opener. He
