CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KPTV) — Families with children who spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center reunited with the doctors and nurses that helped care for them Sunday afternoon.
Having a child in the NICU can be a scary and stressful time for parents, but Sunday’s reunion event was one worth celebrating.
In November of 2018, Meghan Davis arrived at Sunnyside Medical Center for an ultrasound. But instead of a routine appointment, Davis was diagnosed with a rare pregnancy complication and the medical staff had to act quickly.
“I had an emergency C-section that evening and Miles spent two weeks in the NICU,” Davis said.
