OROVILLE — The Butte County Board of Supervisors will consider entering a contract with Blue Flamingo Marketing to piece together the Butte County Fire Protection and Prevention: Community Education Expansion Project during its upcoming meeting Tuesday.

If approved, the $940,944 contract would bring Blue Flamingo aboard to conduct community outreach and provide education on fire prevention to residents of Butte County.

Funding for the project comes from the Community Development Block Grant, which Butte County received roughly $1 million from to put toward education programs related to fire safety, according to the related staff report in Tuesday’s agenda.
