Police have confirmed two arrests in Edinburgh after a protest in the city.
Groups gathered in the capital on Saturday, displaying signs in support of the banned group Palestine Action. Demonstrators held placards reading: "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action."
They staged a demonstration outside the UK Government's main office in Edinburgh on August 6. Two men, aged 67 and 72, were arrested in connection with the Terrorism Act, reports the Daily Record .
Evidence from the protest is being reviewed and further action could follow. The situation in Edinburgh was far calmer than a similar demonstration in London, which descended into violent clashes and saw around 150 people arrested, according to the Met Police.
