EASTMAN, Ga. — A man was shot and killed during a shootout in Eastman early Sunday morning, according to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI says Terrance Gordon, 45, was walking along 1st Avenue in Eastman just after midnight on Sept. 7, firing a gun into the air.
Gordon, an Eastman native, then approached a home on 1st Avenue and threatened the tenants, according to the press release. Gordon and the homeowner shot at each other, and both were injured during the shooting.
The press release says Eastman police responded to the shooting, and found Gordon after he was shot. Gordon was taken to Dodge County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, per the release.
The GBI says the homeowner was also taken to the hospital, where he was treated for his injurie
