QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy’s newest restaurant is one step closer to opening its doors to the public.

Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce representatives held a ribbon-cutting at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Monday morning.

The fast-casual restaurant is in the former Steak and Shake building at 38th and Broadway and is known for their cook-to-order steakburgers and frozen custard.

“Great to see a new business for not only Quincy, but the whole area to come and enjoy this and right along Broadway, the main thoroughfare, it just continues to be a great place for people to invest in Quincy,” said Bruce Guthrie, the president of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.
