MENTOR, Ohio — Mentor is once again offering free trees to residents as part of its Street Tree Program, which aims to beautify neighborhoods and help manage stormwater runoff.
The trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are planted in the public right-of-way by city staff. Plantings take place in both the spring and fall.
Residents who want a tree installed at their property must complete a Street Tree Order Form, available through the city.
Questions about the program or other tree-related initiatives can be directed to the city’s Public Works Department at 440-974-5781 or by email at pubworks@cityofmentor.com .
