The Eagles made a big move on Monday night, trading 2026 fifth and sixth-round NFL Draft picks to the Jacksonville Jaguars for running back Tank Bigsby, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter .

This is a surprising trade considering the Eagles already have two good backups ( Will Shipley and AJ Dillon ). But the trade could indicate that Shipley could be out for an extended period. He suffered a rib injury during the Eagles’ 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday and did not return.

Bigsby could be an upgrade over Shipley and Dillon. He rushed for 766 yards and seven touchdowns last season, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. The former Jaguars RB is a solid rotational back who is capable of starting games in the NFL.
