PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — VEO electric scooters have been a common sight across Pensacola since 2022, but the partnership with VEO is coming to a close.

Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves said he met with the Veo team in June to discuss contract negotiations.

"I asked the question, 'Have you talked to our residents? Because, you know, if you're only talking to customers, that's good for a business, but that doesn't holistically respect what the value of the program is for our city," Mayor Reeves asked.

Veo started a petition for riders to sign and send to the mayor, but more than 800 signatures weren't enough to change the mayor's mind.
