MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - A train hit a firetruck as crews fought a fire at a machine shop in Moline.

A train passing by Williams White & Company in the 600 block of River Drive hit a Moline firetruck around 10 a.m., Moline fire officials said.

According to Deputy Fire Chief Kris Johnson, a trash bin filled with sawdust on the outside of the machine shop caught fire.

Crews cut the bin open to put out the fire. Officials said no injuries were reported and there is no fire inside the building.

Smoke could be seen over the Moline skyline Thursday morning.

At 9:30 a.m. smoke could be seen over the Moline skyline from the KWQC Skyview camera.
