Why was there so much smoke during the N.C. State-Wake Forest game at Allegacy Stadium on Thursday?
It was from a fire in a food truck in the stadium's concourse.
No injuries were reported.
ESPN and the ACC Network captured the incident, which happened with 3:22 left in the game’s first quarter. At that time, Wake Forest was leading, 14-0, over N.C. State.
The smoke was visible on broadcasts of the game, at times making it difficult for viewers to see the sidelines.
A smoker overheated Choc’s BBQ and Southern Catering food truck, which is based in Seneca, S.C., the truck's owner said.
The trailer’s smoker got too hot, and produced the smoke, which the wind pushed inside the stadium, the owner said.
“We had a little smoke coming out,” the owner said. “The smoker got way
