A Warren town hall planned for Friday afternoon featuring two Democratic members of Congress, Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Detroit and Becca Balint of Vermont, has been postponed "due to an abundance of caution for the community’s safety," organizers said.
An event spokesman indicated the decision not to host the Progress for the People Town Hall in Warren wasn't in response to a specific threat but made out of concern for the heightened political tensions in the wake of the Wednesday shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a founder of the youth organization Turning Point USA.
