For local high school flag football teams, Saturday’s 2nd Annual Flag Football Tournament in Dothan was about experience.

The three teams all had a degree of success during action at the Westgate Complex but mainly focused on experience with region games on the horizon.

Enterprise went 3-1 on the day and reached the championship A Bracket semifinals. Dothan, playing without standout quarterback Lauren Yu, who was out of town attending a soccer tournament, finished 1-2 and played in the silver B Bracket. Northside Methodist Academy had a 1-3 record and reached the C Bracket championship.

Vestavia Hills, ranked 24th nationally by Maxpreps, won the tournament, going 4-0 overall and beating Prattville 20-12 in the championship.
