GALVA, Iowa (KTIV) - A Northwest Iowa man faces multiple charges after authorities say he eluded law enforcement, crossing two counties in Iowa.
Law enforcement arrested 30-year-old Bidong Yak of Sioux City after a pursuit ended in Galva, Iowa, on Friday, Sept. 12, at 3:44 p.m. Court documents show the pursuit began when a deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle on Highway 20, reportedly driven by Yak, for illegal passing on the shoulder and a speed violation. The car reportedly passed on the right side of the road while using the shoulder.
Documents say after activating their lights and sirens, a deputy was able to get a radar look at the car’s speed, which was 130 mph in a 65-mph zone.
