SHELTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A juvenile suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car during a street takeover in Shelton.

Police responded to the street takeover in the parking lot of 862 Bridgeport Avenue at around 1:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they saw several vehicles fleeing the parking lot.

A juvenile male was reportedly struck by a car driving recklessly in the parking lot, police said.

He was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for serious injuries.

The Shelton Police Department is investigating the incident. Anyone that has information regarding the incident or the pictured vehicle can contact the Shelton Police Department Detective Bureau.
