STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) -- All is quiet at Paulson Stadium, as Georgia Southern enjoys a mandatory off day. The Eagles enter Week 4 of the season at 1-2 after picking up their first win of the season in the team’s home opener.

"I thought the major thing in watching the tape that stood out to me is the continued improvement of the balanced run game that's really supporting a quarterback right now," head coach Clay Helton said. "You have 84 yards in the first game, 145 yards in the second game, and then you rush for 219 off 42 carries and really lean on that game. I thought it provided some advantage coverages that allowed us to have a little bit more explosive offense."

A big part of the Jacksonville State win was the play of the offense line. The boys up front paved the way for 223 yards
