PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Peoria Police arrested an area man from who they said leaped from a three-story window and injured himself while trying to get away from law enforcement.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, officers said they were called to West Willow Knolls Drive for trouble with a man possibly armed with a handgun. When they arrived, officers found the suspect, 58-year-old Craig Ledel, lying on the ground outside a three-story building. He was breathing, but unresponsive.

According to police, Ledel appeared to have jumped from a third-story window while trying to avoid police, resulting in him landing on the ground. Emergency crews took him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
