WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- An 80-year-old woman has made her first appearance in court in a fatal crash that killed a Wichita mother and daughter.
Clowie McLaughlin was formally charged on Monday in Sedgwick County Court. She is facing two counts of involuntary manslaughter while under the influence in the deaths of A’Niah Bell, 25, and her mother, LaShea Bell, 42, of Wichita.
The two women died in the crash that happened at Central and Webb Road on Aug. 30. McLaughlin is currently out on bond.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 29.
