MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Two men were injured after gunfire erupted Sunday night in North Memphis, police said.

Memphis Police (MPD) said a man was robbed at gunpoint by three men when he went to buy weed at Crockett Place and Keel Avenue around 8 p.m. He told investigators that when he tried to run away, a gunman opened fire, striking his legs.

The man told MPD that he ran about a block to a home on Breedlove Street for help.

Police also said another man was shot in the same shooting but did not say his involvement. Both men were hospitalized for gunshot wounds, MPD said.
