BAY VILLAGE, Ohio -- Mayor Paul Koomar plans to hold a public meeting with FirstEnergy officials to discuss recent power outages that have occurred throughout the city.

The meeting is tentatively set for 7 p.m. Oct. 20 in City Council chambers, Koomar told council Monday.

The FirstEnergy public hearing follows a similar hearing Koomar attended Aug. 11, organized by the City of Lakewood.

Koomar wants Bay Village officials to have the opportunity to ask representatives of the electric utility for information about why Bay Village seems to be experiencing more frequent power outages and what the company can do to reduce those outages.
