SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Science Extension and Sustainability hosted a ribbon cutting Tuesday for their new Educational Outreach Garden Greenhouse.

The facility is located at 6600 Clark Road, just east of I-75 near Twin Lakes Park.

The facility is funded by the Sarasota County Infrastructure Surtax, the Charles and Margery Barancik Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, and Friends of Sarasota County Parks.

This greenhouse was also made thanks to years of advocacy and fundraising by Master Gardener Volunteers. The greenhouse was constructed by Halfacre Construction under the management of the Facilities Division of the Sarasota County General Services Department.
