We are in a very summer-like weather pattern, which isn’t too bizarre for Michigan weather. As we head toward October 1, however, we aren’t seeing much of a cooldown. Here are the main weather points I have for you today.

1. Persistent Warm Pattern Extending Through Early October

Michigan is experiencing an extended summer-like pattern that meteorological models show continuing well into early October. The European ensemble model indicates temperatures will remain well into the 70s and possibly reaching the 80s through at least October 2nd. This unusually warm pattern is being driven by a high-pressure ridge centered over Canada, so summer will continue in modified fashion.
