HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Marissa Paslick Gillett, the chairman of the Connecticut Public Utilities Authority (PURA), sent a letter of resignation to Gov. Ned Lamont, the governor announced Friday.
Gillett's resignation will be effective Oct. 10. She has led PURA since 2019.
Her tenure has been marked by public outrage over the state’s comparatively high cost of electricity.
Leaders on both sides of the aisle have reacted to Gillett's resignation.
