Volunteers Will Gather at More Than 70 Sites on Sept. 20 to Remove Trash
Thousands of volunteers are expected to take part in the 36th annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 20, working to remove trash and debris from Los Angeles County’s beaches, rivers, parks, and neighborhoods.
The event, organized locally by Heal the Bay in partnership with the California Coastal Commission and the Ocean Conservancy, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at more than 70 cleanup sites throughout the county. The effort is part of a global movement to reduce plastic pollution and protect marine life and waterways.
