On Saturday at 3:13 p.m. the National Weather Service released an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 3:30 p.m. for Greene and Washington counties.
The storms are predicted to bring wind gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail (1 inch).
"At 3:13 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southeast of Valley Grove, or 12 miles west of Waynesburg, moving west at 5 mph," according to the weather service. "Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees."
The warning is for West Finley and Nineveh.
The weather service comments, "Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail."
