A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:23 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 3 p.m. for Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County.
Wind gusts of up to 40 mph and marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) are expected.
"At 2:23 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Antler Campground And Trailhead, or 44 miles east of Crater Lake. This storm was nearly stationary," states the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible."
The alert is for Antler Campground And Trailhead and Silver Creek Marsh Campground.
The weather service states, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
