CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Medina County Monday afternoon, with the strong wind gusts and possible ping pong ball-sized hail expected.
The warning, initially valid until 2:30 p.m., was cancelled just before 2:20 p.m.
The NWS said at 1:30 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was spotted near Lodi moving northeast at 30 mph. Gusts up to 60 mph are expected.
"People and animals outdoors will be injured," the NWS says. "Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect damage to trees and power lines."
Impacted cities include Medina, Brunswick, North Royalton, Wadsworth, Rittman, Lodi, Creston, Chippewa Lake, Broadview Heights, Hinckley, Seville, Westfield Center, Spencer, Gloria Glens Park, Burbank, Chippewa-On-The-Lake,
